Vicki Watson joined Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg in September of 2017 after spending 14 years at Pratt Medical Center where she worked closely with gastroenterologist Dr. Farrukh Jafri until his retirement in 2017. Vicki's extensive experience in the field of Gastroenterology prepared her well for her position with Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg, where she supports all of the physicians with the care and management of their patients.
Vicki has a particular interest in the treatment of liver disease and works closely with Dr. Narayan Dharel in the management of patients with Hepatitis C and other diseases of the liver. Vicki helps to facilitate the care of patients requiring routine screening colonoscopies by providing their pre-procedure evaluations as needed. Vicki also helps to accommodate patients needing to be seen sooner than their usual physician's schedule allows. Whether working independently or side-by-side with a physician, Vicki communicates daily with the physicians about their patients and pulls physicians into consult with patients as needed.
Vicki holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from George Mason University, which she obtained in 2016. She became certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 2001 after completing her Master of Science in Nursing at George Mason University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Howard University.
