Kirstin Garcia, PA-C

Kirstin Garcia is a board certified Physician Assistant. She was raised in Lancaster, PA and received a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania. After working several years as a case manager in Older Adult Protective Services she changed her career course. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Touro College in New York with a B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies in 2000. Later she earned a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska.

Kirstin started her Physician Assistant career serving in the Unites States Navy. She spent her first three years providing medical care in the Family Medicine Clinic at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Her next tour of duty took her to the Family and Military Medicine Clinics at Naval Clinic Quantico in Quantico, VA. During her military career she organized a sick- call screener educational program for Navy Hospital Corpsmen. She was also a member of two multidisciplinary teams dealing with domestic violence and substance abuse.

Her first position as a Physician Assistant in the private sector was with us here at GAF. She returns to us after practicing four years in a local Internal Medicine office. Her role is to obtain the patient history and perform the physical examination, then together with the physician devise the evaluation and treatment plan. She greatly enjoys working in a team environment.

She resides in Fredericksburg with her husband, Luis. She enjoys DIY projects, working outdoors and traveling.
